Whole Foods Market to anchor $1 billion County Square redevelopment

A new Whole Foods Market was announced Monday as the first "anchor tenant" of the upcoming $1 billion County Square redevelopment project, according to a press release from project developer RocaPoint Partners.

“Whole Foods Market will add to the development’s lively charm and represents the quality of the tenants we’re targeting to drive economic growth while simultaneously answering public interest at Greenville County Square,” said RocaPoint Partners' Patrick Leonard in the release.

The goal of the redevelopment is to provide a vibrant and business-friendly environment for visitors to shop, dine, live and explore, according to the release.

The project will sit in downtown Greenville and create a link between the Falls Park and newCancer Survivor’s Park that connects to the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
